Quick answers
When does testing start in my province?
Under Decision 13/2026/QĐ-TTg: Hanoi and HCMC from 1 July 2027; Hai Phong, Da Nang, Hue and Can Tho from 1 July 2028; all other provinces from 1 July 2030 (or earlier by local decision).
Can a repair shop open an emission testing site?
Yes, if it meets Decree 166/2024/NĐ-CP and QCVN 103:2024/BGTVT: at least one certified inspector, compliant premises and equipment, and data-connected software. A draft amendment proposes relaxing the floor-area requirement.
How much floor space does one lane need?
Currently about 15 m² per analyser; the draft amendment to Decree 166/2024 proposes 10 m². We survey your site free of charge.
How often must motorcycles be tested?
Under Circular 30/2026/TT-BXD, vehicles up to 5 years old need not be brought in; the first cycle is 60 months. Vehicles over 5 years old must be tested at a certified site.
